OREX SAI and StarHub to Form Strategic Partnership for 4G/5G Open RAN Commercial Deployment in Singapore
OREX SAI, along with NTT DOCOMO, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with StarHub Limited (StarHub) to enter a strategic partnership to jointly deploy commercial Open RAN solutions for both StarHub’s Cloud Infinity and 4G/5G macro network.
The partnership is a specific step toward commercial deployment following the successful 5G Open RAN Lab Trial in August 2024. Aligning with StarHub’s strategic initiatives, both parties will explore service innovations of Private Enterprise Networks and Consumer Networks, leveraging OREX SAI’s Open RAN technology.
Key Objectives of the Partnership
1. 5G Open RAN Solutions for Private Enterprise Network
OREX SAI and Starhub to develop and market commercial-ready private 5G networks as Open RAN solutions, orchestrating with StarHub’s Cloud AI Platform “Cloud Infinity”, serving enterprise customers in Singapore and regional Asian market
2. Commercial Open RAN Deployment for Consumer 4G/5G Macro Networks
Both Parties to jointly work towards a commercial Open RAN deployment for consumer 4G/5G production networks based on OREX SAI solution configurations
3. Seamless Operational Integration
Both parties to integrate StarHub’s existing operational support and maintenance workflows to ensure seamless onboarding to an Open RAN production
4. Digital Service Development
Both parties to explore a pre-commercial project enabling innovative use-cases, such as data monetization
